Monday March 16th

Dear friends of Zion's,
We are trying something else new during this pandemic!  Lynn Chase had this great idea based on her life long discipline of journaling- let's connect with one another during this time here on this blog.  Maybe share your thoughts and feelings about being separated from church/people, share your hopes/fears, your prayers?  Let's stay connected!

  1. Good morning and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! I will jump right in and post first. First, I wanted to share that I saw my first butterfly on Sunday - put a smile on my face for sure. And I heard a Scripture the other day that I thought was really appropriate for the times we are experiencing right now - Mark 4:35-41. I could apply it to life today envisioning Jesus rebuking panic as he rebuked the wind. Hush!! "Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?" And I reminded myself of how many times times in the Bible are those words said.......Do not be afraid.........fear not. It gives me a sense of peace.

  2. Good morning dear friends
Every morning as Tony and I feed our cattle, I see the beautiful sunrise and know God is Good all the time!
Know that those if us producing food have not closed up shop.
Get out and enjoy some fresh air 😊❤

  3. I remember the story that if life gives you lemons make lemonade. With this Coronavirus outbreak let's make time during our isolation period to pray giving thanks for all the people putting the lives of others first, they do this by following the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  5. I wanted to share from my devotional by Joyce Meyer from yesterday - thought it was pretty spot on:
"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair." 2 Corinthians 4:8
"I fully believe that reaching your potential is linked to the way you handle adversity. Adversity isn't always bad. Actually, adversity can be something to be thankful for because God can use it to strengthen you. Winston Churchill said: "Difficulties mastered are opportunities won....
If you allow difficulties and challenges to frustrate, intimidate, or discourage you, you will never overcome them. But if you face them head-on and press through the adversities you encounter, refusing to give up in the midst of them and moving forward with a heart of gratitude, you will develop the skills and determination needed to be everything you were created to be and experience everything God intends for you."

    1. Thanks Lynn, this is a really good reminder, not just now, but whenever we have struggles. I'm not real great at journaling but I will do my best to share.
